Prior to candi he spent several years in investment banking working at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, across London and Hong Kong, before focusing on his passion for renewable energy with SUSI Partners and responsAbility out of Zurich, managing various equity and debt funds investing into the sector globally.

Fabio is an entrepreneurial finance professional with a proven track record in both investment management and executive operational roles. His ‘on the ground’ experience encompasses developed, emerging as well as frontier markets. Before candi, Fabio was the CFO of Persistent Energy, a venture builder in the off-grid sector. Prior to this, he was a Vice President at SUSI Partners, a Swiss investment manager specialised in financing sustainable infrastructure where he was responsible for the renewable energy infrastructure investment practice.

Rodrigo has a wealth of experience in the renewable energy space. After starting his career at a nanotech startup and as a consultant at First Climate, Rodrigo has since focused on renewable energy as an investor. He has worked in Latin America and throughout Europe. Before candi, he built the Latin America investment practice of EEA, headed the renewable energy investment division of SUSI Partners in Switzerland, and after a short stint at responsAbility, he was a Partner at Persistent Energy, a venture builder in the off-grid sector.

Sara benefits from more than 10 years of experience in financing and monitoring energy and infrastructure projects, both in the solar sector (Sunedison, Isolux Corsan) and in the banking sector (Société Générale, Rabobank). Her diversified experience has allowed Sara to consolidate a global understanding of project development in emerging countries. Before joining STOA, an impact fund specialising in emerging economies, Sara was Investment Officer in the Infrastructure team at Proparco, with a focus on transportation.

Antoine is an Investment Director at STOA, an impact fund specialising in emerging economies. With an engineering background and more than 10 years in the infrastructure sector, he brings a wealth of experience in the renewables, telecommunications, and transport asset space. Prior to joining STOA, Antoine was a structured finance specialist at VINCI group, the French construction-concession company giant, where he raised project and acquisition finance for major infrastructure projects. Before that, Antoine spent 2 years working for a DFI in sub-Saharan Africa.

Mathilde is a Senior Investment Manager at Triple Jump in the Direct Investments team, where she focuses on sustainable energy projects. Prior to joining Triple Jump as an impact-focused investment manager in 2019, Mathilde worked for 10 years in international investment and corporate finance roles across a broad range of industries, notably in M&A advisory (Nomura) and private equity (Activa Capital).

Tobias Ruckstuhl is a Partner and the Chief Financial Officer at Persistent Energy, a venture builder in the off-grid sector. He brings nearly 10 years’ experience of living and working in Sub-Saharan Africa, having spent large parts of his early youth in rural Africa and later working in finance and logistics, and as an entrepreneur in Central Africa. He continued his career in Europe in management consulting at Accenture in Switzerland, specialising in digital and technology consulting, and subsequently joined Persistent Energy.

Hélène is the CEO and founder of Gaia Impact Fund (IF), a venture capital firm specialising in renewable energy. Gaia IF invests in and builds long-term partnerships with environmental and social impact-focused start-ups and SMEs operating in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. In 2010, Hélène became a shareholder of a renewable energy company and decided to start the Synergie Solaire Foundation with her associates. Through this endowment fund, over 200 European renewable energy companies have provided technical and financial support to NGOs working on humanitarian energy access projects all over the world. Prior to this, she worked for 20 years as an entrepreneur in the retail sector.
Hélène studied in the US (Harvard University) and in Paris-Assas (France) and holds a Master’s degree in economics.
